We welcome new seasonal and guest vendors, community spaces, and buskers.

Seasonal vendor applications open twice a year, in March and September. Our Summer/Fall season runs from the second Saturday in June through the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Our Winter/Spring season runs from the Saturday after Thanksgiving through the first Saturday in June.

Guest and Community vendor applications are accepted periodically and vendors will be asked to reapply an average of once a year in order to maintain current records. Guest vendors are scheduled for occasional appearances at the market, typically averaging no more than once every 4 to 6 weeks.

All buskers wishing to perform at the market must hold a current Street Performer Permit issued by the Batimore City Department of Revenue and must have a current application on file with the 32nd Street Farmers Market. Busker spaces are first come first served and are never guaranteed.

SNAP, EBT, and Maryland Market Money at 32nd Street Farmers Market

The 32nd Street Farmers Market has long been committed to making fresh, local food accessible to everyone in our community, regardless of income. For years, we've worked to support SNAP participants through EBT processing, wooden token programs, and our Maryland Market Money matching program, which doubles the value of SNAP dollars spent at the market.

Recent Policy Updates

To keep the market financially secure and compliant with state requirements, we've made some changes to how SNAP and EBT are processed:

• The Market Info Booth no longer processes EBT cards directly. Customers can still use SNAP/EBT at vendor booths that have their own EBT accounts set up. A current list of participating vendors is available at the Market Info Booth.

• We are no longer distributing new $1 wooden tokens. Wooden tokens already in circulation remain valid and can be spent at the market until further notice.

• Maryland Market Money (blue tokens) is still available. Customers can swipe their EBT card at a participating vendor, bring their receipt to the Market Info Booth, and receive matched funds in blue tokens to spend anywhere at the market that sells SNAP eligible foods.

Both wooden tokens and blue tokens are not limited to those vendors who directly process EBT cards and can be spent with any vendor selling SNAP-eligible items. SNAP eligible foods are fruits and vegetables, meat, poultry, seafood, eggs, dairy, breads, cereals, and other foods like baked goods, jams, and food-producing plants and seeds.

Maryland Market Money Matching Program

Dollar-for-dollar matching is provided by the Maryland Market Money (MMM) program, up to $20 per program, per day. For example, if you spend $20 in SNAP benefits at a participating vendor, bring your receipt to the Market Info Booth and receive an additional $20 in matching blue tokens.

Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program coupons can be used to pay participating vendors directly. Bring the spent coupon or receipt to the Market Info Booth to redeem MMM matching funds.

Looking Ahead

These updates also reflect anticipated changes at the state level. The Maryland Department of Agriculture is expected to move toward an app-based system for SNAP transactions in the future. We're adjusting our processes now to stay ahead of these changes and continue offering a smooth, reliable experience for our SNAP and EBT customers.

Per guidelines issued by the Baltimore City Health Department, dogs are not permitted at the Market. Only service dogs, required for a disability, are allowed.

The Market follows the City’s guidelines on public health. The security staff, on duty throughout the Market, monitor the environs and assist with any medical or public safety situations. 

The Market is a public area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur.
